No matter who you cheer for on the track, from Dale Earnhardt Jr. to Jeff Gordon, there are several big Nascar racecs that are great to watch on TV, but if you ever have the chance to catch them live, it is worth every cent of the ticket price paid, and it is a thrill you are never going to forget, and in fact, are going to make a point to try to go back to these major events. The thrill of catching a race live trumps the way you feel when you watch a race on TV at home, or even with a big group of friends and other fans at a bar. Although you get to see the race, you do not get to experience the noise levels at the track, the other fans, and the overall thrill that the race day brings, not only to the fans, but to the racers, owners, and the teams as well.

So, if you ever get the chance, the Daytona 500 marks the beginning to the Nascar season. It is the biggest race, holds the largest audiences, and it can really be the most exciting race you will catch all year. The race has been taking place for almost 60 years, and is the best way to start off the Nascar year. On the opposite end, the other big race, which ends the season, is the Indianapolis 500. This race is just as big, but has not been run as long as the big race in Daytona, and although it does draw in crowds, not nearly as many people can be held in the stadium, as that in Daytona. However, it is still a race you would love to watch live, if you ever get a chance to make it there.
